Children of the Burnt Sun

Adoption gave Cyril Lawrence a loving family, but it could not erase the pain of being the only Black boy in the room. When his family moves to Phoria, a town that seems welcoming to everyone but him, Cyril becomes an outsider all over again. Then he discovers the sacred Zhawenok forest, where he is no longer treated like an outsider and its people see something in him he has not yet seen in himself. His arrival was not random. As darkness gathers, Cyril must confront the lies surrounding his past and protect the people he loves.
